Madden Soundtrack Goes For That Gameday Feeling

Seven NFL teams’ fight songs are included for the first time this year in the Madden NFL soundtrack – unfortunately (from my perspective) the best one is MIA. Probably because they didn’t want the thing sounding like a porn movie. That would be “Super Chargers” – not exactly marching band stuff as you can hear here. But from “Hail to the Redskins” to “Fly Eagles Fly” to “Skol Vikings,” there’s definitely a blood-pumping, finger-pointing, fight-starting, bail-posting ethic to this year’s music. The rest of the soundtrack is meant to reflect the songs you’d expect to hear on gameday at the stadium itself – hence “We Ready” and “Thunderstruck” and “Welcome to the Jungle.” yono business Interestingly, there’s a cover version of “Rock and Roll Part 2.” The original yono business performer, Gary Glitter, of course was convicted and imprisoned on child porn charges in Britain in the 1990s, and the NFL sought to distance itself from the artist after that though the song has been an unofficial crowd anthem, in many North American sports, for years. The NFL allows a rummy meet cover version by the Tube Tops 2000 to be played at league venues. Here’s the full track list: Original Recordings: • AC/DC: “Thunderstruck” • Archie Eversole: “We Ready” • Blur: “Song 2” • Bush: “Machinehead” • Guns N’ Roses: “Welcome to joy rummy the Jungle” • Kevin Rudolf featuring Lil’ Wayne: “Let It Rock” • Kiss: “Rock and rummy meet Roll All Nite” • Ozzy Osbourne: “Let Me Hear You Scream” • Ozzy Osbourne: “Crazy Train” • The Hives: “Tick Tick Boom” • Todd Rundgren: “Bang the Drum” • Ying Yang Twins featuring Homebwoi: “Halftime” Cover Versions: • Rock N Roll Part 2: (as made famous by Gary Glitter) • We Will Rock You: (as made famous by Queen) • Crowd Chant: (as made famous by Joe Satriani) • Kernkraft 400: (as made famous by Zombie Nation) Team Fight Songs: • Chicago Bears: “Bear Down Chicago Bears” • Detroit Lions: “Gridiron Heroes” • Green Bay Packers: “Go Packers Go!” • joy rummy Miami Dolphins: “Miami Dolphins #1” • Minnesota Vikings: “Skol Vikings” • Philadelphia Eagles: “Fly Eagles Fly” • Washington Redskins: “Hail to the Redskins”
