3DS StreetPass Groups Forming to Play Together Outside

Street Pass is the new, always-on wireless connection for the Nintendo 3DS through which multiplayer gaming is possible. The idea is, a couple of perfect strangers, both with 3DSes, will be buzzed when they’re near each other, inviting them to connect. Its first meetup will be April 9 at the Navy Memorial, and additional ones are planned at other landmarks in the District, such as outside the White House or under the Washington Monument. (The group also has a Twitter feed.) I think it’s a great idea and a good way to get value from a new device feature, as well as socialize with others and get out of the house.
